He began his medical education at Hacettepe University and later completed it at Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine, starting his professional career as a physician.

After graduation, he fulfilled his compulsory service in the Çat district of Erzurum. He later passed the Medical Specialization Examination (TUS) and began his residency training in Internal Medicine at Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine. After completing his specialization in internal medicine, he continued his medical training at the same university and completed his subspecialty training in Gastroenterology.
