  • Total Hemolytic Complement Activity (CH-50): This test measures the activity of the complement system. Complement is a part of the immune system that, when activated, marks and destroys infected cells by binding to antibodies. This test is used to evaluate the overall function of the complement system.
  • T3 and T4: These tests measure the levels of thyroid hormones, triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4), in the blood. Thyroid hormones play a crucial role in regulating metabolism, growth, and energy levels in the body.
  • Tacrolimus (FK-506): Tacrolimus is a medication used to suppress the immune system, particularly in organ transplant recipients to prevent organ rejection. This test measures the levels of tacrolimus in the blood to ensure therapeutic levels are maintained while avoiding toxicity.
  • (Tam Kan Sayım) Complete Urinalysis: This test involves the examination of urine for various components such as cells, proteins, glucose, and bacteria. It provides information about kidney function, urinary tract infections, and other conditions.
  • Tuberculosis (TB) Culture: This test involves culturing a sample to detect the presence of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the bacterium that causes tuberculosis. It helps in diagnosing tuberculosis and determining the appropriate treatment.
  • Theophylline: Theophylline is a medication used to treat asthma and other lung diseases by opening up the airways in the lungs, making it easier to breathe. This test measures the level of theophylline in the blood to ensure it is within the therapeutic range and to avoid toxicity.
  • Testosterone: Testosterone is the primary male sex hormone, although it is also present in females in smaller amounts. This test measures the level of testosterone in the blood, which is important for the development of male reproductive tissues and the maintenance of secondary sexual characteristics.
  • Testosterone Bioavailable Panel: This panel measures the level of testosterone that is not bound to proteins in the blood, which is known as bioavailable testosterone. Bioavailable testosterone is considered more physiologically active than total testosterone and may provide a better indication of androgen status.
  • Tetanus Antibody: This test measures the level of antibodies against the tetanus toxin in the blood. Tetanus is a serious bacterial infection that affects the nervous system, and vaccination with tetanus toxoid is essential for preventing the disease. This test helps determine if a person has sufficient immunity against tetanus.
  • Th1/Th2 Ratio: This test evaluates the balance between two types of T helper cells, Th1 and Th2, which play important roles in regulating the immune response. An imbalance in the Th1/Th2 ratio has been associated with various autoimmune diseases and allergic conditions.
  • Thyroglobulin: Thyroglobulin is a protein produced by the thyroid gland and is involved in the production of thyroid hormones. This test measures the level of thyroglobulin in the blood, which can be useful in monitoring patients with thyroid cancer after treatment.
  • Thyroid Stimulating Immunoglobulin (TSI): TSI is an antibody that stimulates the thyroid gland to produce excessive amounts of thyroid hormones, leading to hyperthyroidism. This test measures the level of TSI in the blood and is used in the diagnosis and management of Graves’ disease, an autoimmune disorder that causes hyperthyroidism.
  • Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH): TSH is a hormone produced by the pituitary gland that regulates the production of thyroid hormones (T3 and T4) from the thyroid gland. This test measures the level of TSH in the blood, which helps assess thyroid function. Elevated levels of TSH may indicate hypothyroidism, while low levels may suggest hyperthyroidism.
  • Thyroxine Binding Globulin (TBG): TBG is a protein produced by the liver that binds to thyroid hormones (T3 and T4) in the bloodstream, thereby regulating their distribution and availability to tissues. This test measures the level of TBG in the blood and may be useful in evaluating thyroid function in certain cases.
  • Toxoplasma: This test detects the presence of antibodies against Toxoplasma gondii, a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis, a usually asymptomatic infection that can be serious in individuals with weakened immune systems and pregnant women.
  • Toxoplasma IgG: IgG antibodies are produced by the immune system in response to a previous exposure to Toxoplasma gondii. This test measures the level of IgG antibodies in the blood, indicating past or previous exposure to the parasite.
  • Toxoplasma IgG Avidity: This test measures the strength of binding between Toxoplasma IgG antibodies and the parasite antigens. High avidity indicates a more mature immune response, suggesting a past infection, while low avidity may indicate a recent or ongoing infection.
  • Toxoplasma IgM: IgM antibodies are produced by the immune system in response to a recent or current infection with Toxoplasma gondii. This test measures the level of IgM antibodies in the blood, indicating an acute or recent infection with the parasite.
  • Total Cholesterol: This test measures the total amount of cholesterol in the blood, including both HDL (high-density lipoprotein) and LDL (low-density lipoprotein) cholesterol. High levels of total cholesterol, especially LDL cholesterol, are associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases such as heart disease and stroke.
  • Transferrin: Transferrin is a protein produced by the liver that binds to and transports iron in the blood. This test measures the level of transferrin in the blood and is used to evaluate iron status and assess conditions such as iron deficiency anemia.
  • Treponema Pallidum Hemagglutination (TPHA): This test detects antibodies against Treponema pallidum, the bacterium that causes syphilis. TPHA is a confirmatory test for syphilis and is often used in conjunction with other tests such as the Venereal Disease Research Laboratory (VDRL) test.
  • Trichomonas Culture: This test involves culturing a sample to detect the presence of Trichomonas vaginalis, a parasitic protozoan that causes trichomoniasis, a sexually transmitted infection (STI) that affects the urogenital tract.
  • Triglycerides: Triglycerides are a type of fat found in the blood and are stored in fat cells for energy. This test measures the level of triglycerides in the blood. High levels of triglycerides are associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases.
  • Tryptase: Tryptase is an enzyme released by mast cells during allergic and anaphylactic reactions. This test measures the level of tryptase in the blood and can be used to diagnose and monitor allergic conditions and severe allergic reactions.
  • Troponin I Test: Troponin I is a protein released into the bloodstream when heart muscle is damaged, such as during a heart attack. This test measures the level of troponin I in the blood and is used to diagnose acute myocardial infarction (heart attack) and assess the severity of cardiac injury.
  • Troponin T Test: Similar to the Troponin I test, the Troponin T test measures the level of troponin T in the blood to diagnose acute myocardial infarction (heart attack) and assess cardiac injury. Troponin T is also released into the bloodstream when heart muscle is damaged.
  • TSH Receptor Antibody Test: This test detects antibodies that target the thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) receptor. These antibodies can stimulate the thyroid gland to produce excess thyroid hormones, leading to hyperthyroidism. The presence of TSH receptor antibodies is often associated with autoimmune thyroid disorders such as Graves’ disease.
  • Toxoplasma: This test detects antibodies against Toxoplasma gondii, a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Toxoplasmosis is usually asymptomatic but can cause serious complications in individuals with weakened immune systems and in pregnant women, potentially leading to birth defects in the fetus. Testing for Toxoplasma antibodies helps diagnose past or present infections with the parasite.
